Mannings 5D Salon brand experience

Make haircare a physical experience

Mannings Hair Month’s 5D Salon at Olympian City brought haircare and styling into a physical setting. Experience zones, personal interaction and media features provided several ways to encounter the same product theme.

Project scope

Materials from projects undertaken by team members show themed experience zones, event activities and media coverage, extending the brand story from the live experience into PR channels.

Establish a setting that explains the theme

The salon theme brought brand displays, products and experience areas into the mall atrium. The photographs show an identifiable entrance and several participation zones, establishing the haircare and styling subject spatially.

A setting can do part of the explanatory work. The familiar salon context gives visitors a reference, while individual areas still need to make clear what people can see and do. Identity and participation guidance belong together.

Give product information an interactive form

The materials show people participating, products on display and live interaction. The subject appears through a combination of space, product and people, rather than solely as a haircare message.

An experience offers another way to understand a subject. Planning can begin with the product point visitors should grasp, then identify an appropriate display, demonstration or interaction. That keeps each activity connected to the brand.

Continue the product story beyond the venue

A further profile page includes media features, brand posts and personality-led video about 5D Salon and haircare. The event provides the setting, while coverage and video offer different levels of detail to people beyond the venue.

In integrated communications, the physical experience and media content need not be identical. One enables contact and participation; the other can organise the product subject and personal perspectives. Clear brand priorities and accurate information connect them.

Develop product experiences and content together

This team case connects a thematic setting, personal participation and media content. It offers a planning perspective that considers both how visitors experience a product subject and how others encounter it through content.
