Cathay Long Service Awards

Many ceremonies, an individual moment for each honouree

Each employee is the focus of a Long Service Awards ceremony. Cathay’s 2025 programme comprised 18 ceremonies over three months, accommodating continuous airline operations while delivering an individual moment of recognition.

Our role

L Concept supported stage and venue production, technical cues, portraits and name-matched graphics, alongside HR batch arrangements. The company profile records the programme’s scale of 18 ceremonies over three months.

Repeated delivery still requires session-by-session coordination

The 18 ceremonies used consistent stage designs, venue production and technical cues. This addresses a practical context: airline employees work across roles and shifts, making a single gathering difficult.

The operational distinction is between a repeatable format and information that changes per session. Staging can be standardised while attendance lists, portraits and participant arrangements still need updating. Separating the two makes clear what can be reused and what requires fresh confirmation.

Personal information becomes part of the production

The profile describes a substantial portrait workload and name-matched graphics. Photographs and names are part of how an employee is recognised and introduced on stage, rather than simply post-event documentation.

From the honouree’s perspective, accuracy matters alongside stage timing. A comparable programme needs a clear way to check list versions, portrait matches, pronunciations and screen order, keeping production and reception teams aligned.

A consistent format should preserve the personal moment

The series brought together venue, technical, photography and batch-attendance arrangements. Those workstreams supported the same recurring purpose: enabling different employees to take part in their own recognition sequence.

When reviewing a multi-session ceremony, the number of shows is only one dimension. Handover clarity, accurate individual information and the relationship between photography and stage flow also matter. Scale and personal experience belong in the same production plan.

Delivery at scale still depends on individual details

This case centres on consistent production across many ceremonies while handling individual employee information. For corporate communications and HR teams, clear responsibilities and information handovers are essential foundations for recognition events.
