Victorinox pop-up & Swiss Card workshops

From product display to hands-on participation

At The Atrium, The Venetian Macao, a month-long product display was accompanied by Swiss Card workshops on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, giving the activation two distinct rhythms.

Plan separately for the display period and workshop days

The display ran for a month, while the workshops took place on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The display offered an ongoing brand presence; the workshops provided participation on two specific dates.

These formats require different operational plans. Display content, workshop space, materials and staffing need to be considered for their respective periods, making venue liaison part of the experience planning.

Connect the activity with the space it needs

L Concept’s scope included workshop arrangements, instructors and crowd management alongside display design and production. The activity and its physical setting therefore needed to be considered together.

In workshop planning, participant steps, instructor demonstrations, access to materials and the route out all affect how a space operates. Discussing those conditions early helps reserve appropriate room for participation.

Make room for both a brief encounter and deeper participation

A month of display and two workshop days gave visitors different levels of contact with Swiss Card: noticing the product while passing or taking part on a specific day. The timing itself forms part of the experience design.

Visitors to a hotel or retail setting do not all stay for the same length of time. A display needs to explain the product on its own, while a workshop needs a complete sequence of participation. Planning both allows a pop-up to accommodate different visiting rhythms.

Display and interaction offer different depths of contact

The project connects a product display, festive workshops and on-site coordination. For a pop-up, useful early questions include how long visitors may stay and how a complete activity can fit within the available space.
